MANHATTAN, NY, June 13, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ — The classical crossover tenor Carlos Aponte was one of the most outstanding surprises of the night, performing during the “Gala Cielo 2018” at Cipriani Wall Street, New York last June 1st accompanied by a very exclusive audience supporting the Latino Commission on Aids.
“It was an extraordinary evening and I am indeed grateful with the Latino Commission on Aids and his president Guillermo Chacón, who allowed me to share the gift of singing with the people of New York. It is a very important cause, that we must support to develop an stronger informed society creating awareness facing the hard battle of the HIV and AIDS patients.”
With the slogan “Designing a World without AIDS” Aponte and other figures of the entertainment joined to support the cause. Some of the guests: the singer Amara “La Negra”, the renowned fashion designer Stella Nolasco, Miss Universe 2017 Demi-Leighs Nel-Peters, the Disney Star Jenna Ortega, and the tropical music group “Los Hacheros”.
Aponte, is remembered for his performance at America’s Got Talent and also was part of special events such as: Miss World Pageant in China, Charity Galas, recitals, receptions; and he interpreted the United States National Anthem, at the Inauguration of the Governor of Puerto Rico Ricardo Rosselló.
Recently, Carlos Aponte performed with the Latin Grammy Award in Jazz, Charlie Sepúlveda in a very exclusive wedding at San Juan.
At the Gala, were honored the Director of the New York State Department of Health Aids Institute, Johanne Morne and the Executive Vice President of Mount Sinai Health System.
